dougy passed away three years ago he worked in portsmouth, gibralter,aberwystwyth,and ebbw vale(south wales)

He also had a shop in Newbury I had known Dougie for over 20 years a really nice guy and always had a story to tell

went to dougs funeral,a very sad day.real old school and a real character.
doug loved a drink and always had a story or two to tell,much missed.

I remember meeting Dougy at the 1983 Weybridge TCGB Tattoo convention - where he gave me a zippo lighter with ‘Tattoo Taffy’ on the side of it that acted as his business card at the time - I’ll never forget him as he had a massive gold ID bracelet on - which would have put Jimmy Savile to shame - He was a very nice man and is way up there with the best when it comes to British tattooing history…RIP mate.
