hi all my name is liljon im a tattoo artist from southampton ,where i work at tattoo magic i have been there for 12 years now and i have been tattooing for 25 years, and i still love it .it has been a big thing for me since i got my first tattoo from jack zeek i love every thing about it i collect just about any thing to do with tattoos ,and i dont think i will ever stop

It’s nice to see passionate artist are still around.
I have had a few comments from customers saying that some of the Tattooists they have been to don’t seem to have their heart in it.

I’m sure that this is just a minority as most artist do it because they love it.

tell ya the truth woodie i have seen to much of that over the years, and i think its sad there are people out there that just want to make loads of money, and are not bothered with what people have to live with for the rest of there lives. money should not really be the reason for doing tattoos , i try to do the best job i can weather it is a small star outline or a large jap back piece i love it all

I’ve only been slingin’ the ink for a couple of years now and love it more every day that I am working.
Yeah sure I want to retire from my real job but what a great way to retire, doing something that you love.

ive never thought about retirement ill worry about that if i ever get there, mark mahoney of the shamrock social club in the us says tattoo artists never really retire im hoping thats true

I meant retiring from the daytime job and working full time in the studio.

got ya woodie,i worked like that for a few years to it gets a bit much trying to do both ,in the end ya family life can take the brunt of it ive seen that a lot with artists over the years .

Luckily my wife took on the same apprenticeship as me and to be honest, she is a better artist than I am.
It’s gonna be a family business but with seperate booths lol.
