I have been a tattoo fan since I was a very young man I have been tattooed by L. Burchett, B.Gunn, Jock, R.Robbinson, D.Cockell, unknown scratcher in Paddington and L.Hardy I was tattooing myself in the 70s until 91 I still have an interest in the art and hold a lot of good memory’s

I never met Leslie Burchett, when he died his entire studio collection was shipped to San Francisco to Lyle Tuttle’s museum.

I had the pleasure to meet Ben Gunn and Jock, and have spoke to Rob Robinson on the telephone but never met him.  Rob has retired from tattooing, but I believe that Dennis is still working but have lost touch with him.

Lal is still in Muswell Hill, he was working last week at the London Tattoo Convention.

What can you remember about Leslie Burchett?

I have some Burchett designs and one of George Burchett’s machines in my collection, when I bought it off the family they said that it was one that George Burchett used when he tattooed the Great Omi.
