A few years back there was a project for setting up tattoo studios in Canadian prisons.

The projects aim was to reduce the transmission of infectious diseases, such as hepatitis or HIV, when inmates tattoo each other using homemade tattoo machines.

Not heard much about it since, does anyone know what the outcome was?
